Our building is both futuristic and ecological. We are striving for a self-contained system that takes into consideration the surrounding nature. We generate energy by using solar panels and use biotape to filter rainwater for our service water.
We drain up to BOD 3mg/l of water and keep our carbon dioxide emissions to a minimum. Ikumo has been built from natural materials.
We have both Japanese and western style guest rooms so that you can feel at home and relax. We also have a spacious room with a fire place where you can do yoga, meditate and so on. From our open-air bath, you can view beautiful sunsets and the starlit sky of the Japan Sea. Our style is very natural and we treat all our guests with the upmost care and attention. The essence of Ikumo is a private space on the top of a mountain without redundancy or waste at the top of the mountain.
