ANCIENT JAPANESE PRAYER SERVICE.
SHINTO HOLY FIRE/ANCIENT SHINTO FIRE FESTIVAL
The “Shinto holy fire and ancient Shinto fire festivals” are performed in the main shrine which is located in the center of our building. The Ikumo fire festival is an ancient Japanese prayer service that contains Buddhism, Taoism and Shinto. Ikumo is now the only the place where you can attend this kind of service in Japan. Nature is the principal image of the training hall. All of your wishes and hopes are written in “charms” which are then burnt and sent to heaven through the smoke. This calms your spirit and brings peace to your mind.
No statues of noble characters have been enshrined in Ikumo. This is because Ikumo’s faith has been in Mt. Hakusan since ancient times. Ikumo maintains simple ceremonies and worships nature. A big window on the east side of our building enables you to worship Mt. Hakusan whenever you want. You can gain energy from this space by worshipping Mt. Hakusan earnestly and sympathizing with its nature. We offer a place for people to find a new style for religion.
