Traffic access
Please come to Ikumo by your own car, rental car, or taxi. Alternatively, you can take the JR train and bus to Natadera Temple.
We offer a shuttle service between Ikumo and Natadera Temple. Please contact us if you would like us to pick you up and drop you off.
By car
- From Osaka (via the Meishin and Hokuriku expressways) approx. 4 hrs.
- From Nagoya (via the Tomei and Hokuriku expressways) approx. 3 hrs.
- From the Katayamazu exit on the Hokuriku expressway approx 1 hr.
- From the Kaga exit on the Hokuriku expressway approx 1 hr.
By JR train
For guests using the JR Hokuriku Main Line Limited Express train, please alight at Kaga Onsen Station or Komatsu Station, transfer to a regular train, and alight at Awazu Station. From there, please take a Komatsu bus to Natadera Temple. Alternatively, you can alight at Kaga Onsen Station and take the CANBUS to Natadera Temple.
We offer a shuttle service between Ikumo and Natadera Temple. Please let us know if you require this service when placing a reservation.

Nata temple â
Nata temple is the special head temple of the Koyasan Shingon sect which was founded by Taichojinyuzenji. It has beautiful rocky mountains and seasonal views.
Kakusenkei â
Kakusenkei is located in Yamanaka hot spring, Kaga. It is famous for its connection with the haiku poet, Basho Matsuo.
Kasa no misaki â
Kasa no misaki is a bluff headland shaped from erosion by waves. There are some big and small islands around its peak that can be traversed using boardwalks.
Kibagata park â
Kibagata Park is an untouched park inhabited by many wild birds and water plants. It has a beautiful natural riverside view.
Snow science museum of Ukichiro Nakaya â
This museum celebrates the work and life of Ukichiro Nakaya, a scientist who completed internationally acclaimed studies of snow crystals and artificial snow.
